A: Assuming you are a full-paying member, which also allows
you voting privileges, your $35.38 monthly dues are distributed
throughout AFSCME as follows:
AFSCME International - $10.75 (organizing grants, training, lobbying - federal, media and publications, public policy studies, political action assistance)
AFSCME Minnesota Council 5 - $20.89 (day-to-day support, training, lobbying - state/local, grievance assistance, arbitrations, contract negotiations, organizing, political action, communications, research)
AFSCME Local 517 - $3.74 (member assistance, training, day-to-day support, local operations, internal organizing, political education, grievance handling)
